This is the best time of the year to travel to  Kerala, when the tropical weather is around 32C.   Beautiful unspoiled beaches lead to a warm clear sea;  the gentle rolling of the houseboats along the backwaters is truly relaxing;  the authentic ayurveda treatments help in soothing the spirit;  the culture and spirituality of this ancient locality will absorb every single inch of our being.

ITINERARY New Year in Kerala – 2019

28 Dec: leave from departure airport

29 December – Arrive at Cochin Airport – pick up and drive to our Hotel in Kochi.  After a little relaxing for the long flight, we will have a short sightseeing of the City, andd other local activities.
30 December –  After breakfast, and further local sightseeing we drive to our beach resort in Mararikulam - enjoy the resort, optional Ayurveda treatments, yoga, meditation,visit to local temples, experience fishermen village life, shopping

31  December - Day at leisure, enjoying surroundings.  Evening: New Years Eve Gala Dinner (included)  in our resort
1 January – Day at leisure in our beach resort. 
2 January: After breakfast, we are driving to the nearby market town of Alleppey, to board our houseboat for a cruise and overnight stay (all meals provided)

3 January – After breakfast, we will disembark  our houseboat directly in our next backwater resort - check in

Day at leisure, enjoying the backwaters – Optional visit the market town of Vaikom and its Mahadevi Temple – Optional / extra: boating on Lake Vembanad –  Ayurveda treatments, yoga and meditation classes are available within the resort. Other activities available locally
4  - 5 January – Enjoying the backwaters, walking excursions to experience the authentic village life of farmers, fishermen, etc with a chance of visiting local fishermen village and local Temples and Churches – Ayurveda treatments, yoga and meditation classes are available within our resort

6 January – Early afternoonwe drive towards Kochi Airport - check in and relax 
7 January – Early morning, drive to the Airport to catch the return flight  [based on Emirates / Etihad / Qatar]
