Laxhmi Narayan Temple

Visit the first temple built in delhi during our spiritual trip in October.

The Laxmi Narayan Temple (also known as the Birla Mandir) is a temple dedicated to Vishnu. Inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, it was built in 1939. The side temples are dedicated to Shiva, Krishna and Buddha.

“ The temple spread over 7.5 acres and is adorned with many shrines, fountains, and a large garden, making this site one of  the major attractions in Delhi.”

Laxminarayan usually refers to Vishnu, Preserver in the Trimurti, also known as Narayan, when he is with his consort Lakshmi. Its construction started in 1933 and it was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandh (source Wickipedia)
